Our goal is to support Nurse Practitioners from transition of academic program to practice while preparing them for the difficulties of caring for patients in medically underserved areas.
The fellowship program is designed to be rigorous and comprehensive. Fellows should be committed to the program which includes a full schedule of training, patient care, and didactics. Each track provides an array of opportunities that will advance skills and fellows should be prepared to take advantage and learn as much as possible by making this program a priority. This program is a one-year post-graduate fellowship and will be applying for pre-accreditation in through the National Nurse Practitioner Residency and Fellowship Training Consortium. Fellows will work a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 35 hours a week 7 hours per day with one hour lunch and will take occasional Saturday shifts.
